Behavioral Health Services

Positive Imprints Therapy

Positive Imprints Therapy provides each client with an individualized treatment and care plan that serves as their road map to a happier, healthier life in mind, body, and spirit.  Individual treatment plans are derived from constant evaluation in a comfortable, confidential setting.  Each evaluation will help determine the level of care and modality of treatment the client will continue to receive.

Furthermore, our discharge planning begins at the very first day of admission to ensure that clients have a comprehensive plan for ongoing future success after they leave our program.  We serve people of all ages, from children to senior citizens, with specially designed programs that can include individual, group and family therapy.  Treatment can be initiated by the person seeking care or by a family member, physician, employer or social service agency.  All referrals and admissions are kept confidential; however, every effort is made to communicate where appropriate  with family members and others of significance.  Services are offered in the office and in-home as needed.

Social Excellence

Social Excellence is a distinctive program, working with the client's on their academic strengths and weaknesses and the family in their home environment, fostering understanding of the family dynamics and teaching strategies to address each point of stress as it arises.

Social Excellence fosters a structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic relationship between the family and a professional who is both a State licensed behavioral health practitioner and a State certified educator.  The purpose it to treat the client's behavioral health and academic needs, as they are the components necessary to social excellence.

Goals include improving the family’s ability to provide effective support for the youth to promote his/her healthy functioning within the family, school, and community.

Interventions are designed to enhance and improve the family’s capacity to improve the youth’s functioning in the home and community and may prevent the need for the client’s admission to an inpatient hospital, psychiatric residential treatment facility or other treatment setting.  The Social Excellence Team (comprised of the educator(s), practitioner(s),

family, and youth), develops a treatment plan and, using established academic and psychotherapeutic techniques and intensive family therapy, works with the entire family, or a subset of the family, to implement focused structural or strategic interventions and behavioral techniques to: improve academic progress, enhance problem-solving, limit-setting, risk management/safety planning, communication, build skills to strengthen the family, advance therapeutic goals, and/or improve ineffective patterns of interaction.

Targeted Case Management

Children and their families participate in the process of creating and updating a service plan based on their unique strengths, needs, culture, and preferences.  A relationship is established with each child, adult, family and support system.  Case Managers advocate and access services for youth and families to address their identified needs.

The bio-psycho-social assessment process fosters the development of a therapeutic relationship between the case manager and client using motivational interviewing skills while disentangling, psychological, social, and health system barriers to improvement.  During staff meetings, case managers learn how to alter barriers in each of these domains while collaborating with other health professionals not limited to therapists and psychiatrists.
