About Us
In 2007, several educators and behavioral healthcare professionals found themselves concerned with the direction of public agencies' approach to the educational and behavioral healthcare needs of our families in South Florida. A planning committee was formed and also composed of lawyers, accountants, parents, and lay people. Their efforts culminated in the opening of TheraCare Community Center. TCC operated for three years providing clinical and academic services individually as a staff that included a State certified educator in exceptional education, a licensed marriage and family therapist, clinical psychologist, psychiatric social worker and a part time consulting psychiatrist.
Four years later, to better meet the community needs, TheraCare officially became a community-based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit behavioral healthcare and educational systems in South Florida. Since 2011, TheraCare Community Center has helped hundreds of children, adults and families. Last year alone, TheraCare helped over 200 individuals, providing 600 services at 3 locations in South Florida. We strive to be a “community problem solver” and have carefully and intentionally focused our efforts on a full-range of Florida’s evidence-based, behavioral health, academic, and community services needs to people of all ages.
TheraCare Community Center has distinguished itself both nationally and internationally as a center of teaching, learning and applying research. We train interns, including graduate psychology interns, social work interns, mental health counselor interns, and medical interns.

Payment Information
TheraCare Community Center is qualified or credentialed to accept payment from various sources for its services depending on eligibility and other circumstances. Some services may be free of charge or require a reduced payment based upon financial circumstances. Some services may require a co-payment depending on the payment source.
